Well, what another fantastic year it’s been for Chester Sinfonia and what better way to celebrate this than with our summer performance and picnic event.

It was lovely to see every single seat filled with our eager church-member supporters as well as our friends and family. And what a great performance it was. 

Many of our members have commented this term on a really positive ‘shift’ in the level of the Orchestra’s confidence, musicality, ensemble-playing and therefore performance. 

And of course massive credit for this must go to our wonderful conductor Helen Thomas for her encouragement and passion for taking us all to ever-higher levels, surpassing our beliefs in what we can achieve. 

A special mention was given to Jo who has done a marvellous job of leading the Orchestra these past few years and who is stepping down due to work commitments. Bravo Jo!

Many thanks to the church members for the delicious buffet they laid on for us.  Although the weather wasn’t quite warm enough for us to enjoy our picnic outside - it was lovely enjoy the opportunity to relax and mingle afterwards 

Thanks to Irena and Rosemary for all the wonderful (mostly unseen) hard work you two do behind the scenes for the benefit of us all!


And finally, thank you to everyone who generously donated to our collection - which was donated to Dee Banks School.
